What the heck is "Turin New York"? It doesn't make sense.

It's a small town in New York. Apparently where the hidden alien Temple lies.

Okay.

Now this theory of yours that AC3 will take place in New York is just wild speculation from your part right?

It's pretty much the theory of the whole internet, i saw an article on all of this the day the dlc came out.

Well that sucks. I dont feel AC is done with historical settings yet.

Even if it's 19th Century NY I don't think thats enough. It's too far a jump from 15th Century Rome.

The co-ordinates at the end of the new DLC are GPS co-ordinates to that town in New york, and it ends with the people who captured desmond leaving for the destination they got from the GPS co-ordinates.

Most likely what will happen is that desmond will be in New York instead of italy, and parts of the game will involve playing as desmond going into the alien temple. I'm sure that there will also be his memories of history which won't necessarily be in new york. I remember a couple months ago some art work for AC of an assassin in egypt that was supposed to be for an unnamed upcoming AC project, that might be the site of AC3, or maybe something else became of that, I'm not sure.

Edit: Here it is

if anybody knows if this is definitely from a different project (rumors of a comic book, but I couldn't find anything concrete) then I'd be interested.

wierd, but sounds very interesting. could be really cool to play an assassin in late 1800's New York City, Chicago, Detroit, London, and/or Paris.

i read somewhere that fuedal japan was a popular topic with the dev team. think it might have been in GI. i think fuedal japan would be an awsome place for an assassins creed game.

I like the details OP provided and he derived there. This is one of the best franchises this gen and i am quite exited to experience what they have to offer. Walking through Florence was awe inspiring and rome was well less flagrant and musical. Just love the whole experience.

Awesome. One of this gen's best new franchises, and I live in New York!  Once again, awesome.

I know they said they wouldnt do a WW2 setting, but would they do one set in the Great Depression? Its a key point in human history with a lot of stuff going on during the run up to the war. What do everyone else think?

I was buying this thread until I read this. They are NOT aliens, they are 'Those that came before', ie sentient earth creatures that came before humans.

I have the same reaction when I read news articles about Gears of War, will they actually apply some basic knowledge about the game to their articles!
