New graphic king in SUB HD??? Bullshit.

http://ve3d.ign.com/articles/news/43572/Spike-Video-Game-Award-Winners-Announced

Sub HD and still won best graphics at the VGA in 2008

yeah..in 2008

don't forget Sony marketing from 2005 only 1080P is true HD so 99% of "HD" games are sub HD...

"1080-progressive... is the true definition of HD,"

http://arstechnica.com/old/content/2005/12/5759.ars

That's not Sony... that's HDTV standard.

720p = HD or HD Ready
1080 = FullHD or TrueHD

The bullshit is Sony saying the PS3 will delivery always FullHD (1080p)... in 90% of cases that's impossible for PS3.

how about Final Fantasy versus XIII...?

continue to make games that not only look better but preform better at higher resolutions maybe.....

In Sony's mind they're probably thinking ..."It's about dam time a dev making a multiplat game knows how to utilize the PS3 instead of giving us the crap end of the deal!" lol

What is this all sub HD talk? Do you people know how rediculous you sound when you claim a game can not look good if its sub 720p?

We're talking 1280x720 versus 1152x720

Are you people that thick to think this makes absolutely any difference?

Take Uncharted 2 at HD and Crysis 2 at "sub hd" and they look equaly good (or bad depending what you're used to) on a 1080p TV. Both get upscaled to shit, and since they cant afford much AA on consoles both have the exact same issues.

As was already said one game is not going to make a huge difference and only a small majority of gamers even care about who is the suppossed current graphics king like it is a fact you can prove. So I think Sony will continue to push some of their exclusives to be better only because they want to be known to have the best looking games in their library, not because some people say Crysis 2 reigns supreme.

Blah blah. If Sony stops focusing on 3D then we would see much better graphics on games. 3D is now holding back PS3 games and Uncharted 3 is going to prove this.

well it is according to ign, Nsanity, and kowenicki. lol

this is almost like the Alan Wake fiasco (but fortunately for crysis its much closer to HD, and looks a lot better)

correct me if i am wrong, but IGN gave it a 9.5 for graphics?

IGN gave Uncharted 2 a 10 for graphics.

Crisis 2 may be the graphics king on a console, it ain't the PS3 though.

they also gave Killzone 3 which many consider the best looking FPS around and some the best looking game on PS3 a 9.5. You got to remember that standards get higher as time goes on

well, then by your definition IGN states that Cysis 2 does NOT deserve a perfect graphics score by todays standards.

not my definition IGNs and I think you will find that IGN do think that Crysis 2 deserves that score at least on 360 and PC...

and where does IGN define that the standards have changed since they gave Uncharted 2 a perfect 10?

lets put it this way they gave CoD 4 10 for graphics and Killzone 2 and yet the later games didn't get 10s see how that works?

yes, i see how this works, it's YOUR definition after all :)

gotcha!

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”
