Id go for the b/c of the DS Lite if I was you.

Meh, not a lot of MUST have DSiware games, not to say that their aren't good ones, but If you have no way to play GBA games, and access to a good used game store, the Light may be the way to go.

That said, DSiware has Shantae, Chrono's twins, Might Flip Champs, the excellent Art style series, and a solid installment of Mario vs. DK. So there are certainly some great games to be played.

I didn't help at all did I.

LISTEN TO THE FIRST WORLD PODCAST REAL GAMERS, REAL AWESOME

Really go for the DSL sadly Dsware came to late for anything good to come from it.

Former something....

I take it you aren't going to be a 3DS early adopter? If you're waiting on the 3DS, get a DS Lite now for the GBA backwards compatibility and then get a 3DS later if you want to play the DSiware. I stuck with my Lite when the DSi came out. Didn't miss much. I suppose you could always get a used GBA SP on the cheap though. I don't know. Up to you. Personally I feel that GBA compatibility > DSiware. Once I get a 3DS eventually, I'll still be keeping my Lite so that I can have access to the GBA library. I rarely touch the GBA games now (before I got a DS Lite I'd play a bit of GBA on my PC via emulation. I still feel the DS library is superior to the GBA library but the GBA library is pretty solid. Lots of great games for the GBA) and only really use my Lite to play DS games but it's nice to have that option.

Nah, i just don't see enough games for it yet for the price. Ill wait till a 3ds pokemon comes out for it. That is the only game that makes me buy systems. Seriously, nintendo could make a 1000$ system that only plays a near perfect pokemon mmo and i will buy it.

the DSiware doesn't have many good games on it, but hopefully with the release of the 3DS the eshop will make things better. With access to a wide array of GB, GBC, TurboGrafx 16 and Game Gear games from the virtual concole means that the 3DS will be almost garented to have a robust number of titles. And that's just the information of what we've had so far, if what we have seen from 3DS's interal software so far Nintendo has performed a major overhaul of there digital distribution that hopefully includes a more userfriendly interface, with a higher filesize limitation than the wiiware and access to GBA games and other games from the Nintendo concoles hopefully up to the N64 also on the virtual concole.

DSi is a lot more sturdy than DSL. So, if you're the clumsy type that tend to break stuff, DSi will actually last longer.

There are not many games worthy of downloading in the DSWare shop. As such, I would recommend you to choose in between the price and portability of the DS Lite or the size screen and battery life of the DSi XL.

DSL... GBA games are great. If you happen to own a Gamecube, I'd also recommend the gameboy player for it... it does GB GBC GBA.
