| Doobie_wop said: The arguments in here are silly. Crysis can't be the best looking game on consoles, because visually it suffers far too much from issues that effects it's overall presentation. A game that is sub HD, suffers from severe frame rate issues, has geometry pop in issues, bad shadow work, horrible FMV quality and glitches often can never be the best looking game. It's one of the best looking games, but with all these issues which hurt it's presentation, it can't be 'the best'. I've decided to rent the game, mainly because I put too much money down on Fable 3, Yakuza 4 and Singularity and my funds are running low until my next cheque comes in. In a couple of days I'll be able to give a proper opinion on the game, but the Digital Foundry article has already set it up to be a visually orgasmic experience, that also suffers enough problems to bug you. |
I think you make some good point in the first paragraph. KZ3 is very smooth, consistent. Maintaining the experience is important, you don't wanna lose the immersion with any of the things you mentionedd. I don't think Crysis 2 "blows away" anything, maybe on par but KZ3 was pretty formidable itself. As was GOW and even U2. And U3 will make this moot too.
