The latest poll from Nielsen referring to home consoles now says that of all purchased current generation consoles, over 50% of them reside in the family rooms of American homes. Out of those three though, the Wii is the most likely to take that coveted spot. Specifically, the Wii takes that spot in the family room at 59% of the time between the big three. Nielsen relates to the Wii as Nintendo’s strategy for a “motion-controlled, social gaming style.” PS3 and Xbox 360 show up 52% and 45% of the time, respectively. |
