Forums - Sony - IGN: PlayStation Move Heroes Review

CLOSING COMMENTS
I want to like PlayStation Move Heroes. It's killing me that it kind of sucks. The appeal of some of my favorite video game characters ever doesn’t outweigh that this is a boring mini-game collection with spotty controls. A decent story could have saved me from disappointment, but PlayStation Move Heroes doesn't even have that. I can’t even recommend this game as an easy Trophy game. Unless you're desperate for a new Move title, or to see your heroes slum it, just skip it.

Will wait for sorcery to get MOVE now.

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

My expectations were not high  to begin with, but it is unfortunate this probably sucks. I still am happy that Sony is putting out more move games and if Sorcery is good maybe it will be worth owning. If sorcery is really bad than it is time to be annoyed at Sony for  doing a piss poor job at trying to to attract more big gamers to move. Still with Socom 4 they are giving alot more options.

Shame, but the demo really sucked anway, so I didn't expect much

WTF sony? Where is AAA ps move exclusive to push move sales?

6 months on the market and one (move only) ok game, Sports Champions.

Killzone 3, SOCOM and please say Sorcery

Not a surprise having tried the demo.  The graphics are actually a bit better than noted compared to a lot of similar titles, if below what's possible, and the controls are fine but the core gameplay is just seems weak going by the demo.

Mind you, I could see it selling okay at a slow rate due to the kid appeal and nice looks.  My youngest wanted it immediately he tried the demo.

It's always hard to judge with motion titles what will 'stick' more broadly or not I find.

If you're a core fan of the series characters though you will probably struggle.  I'm so used to controlling Sly or Ratchet or Jak with a gamepad it just felt odd using Move, even though the motion controls themselves are sound and work well.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

graphics were good imo, or in otherwords looked more-or-less the same as R&C did.

i thought the core gameplay was really good at times (whip, sword, and shooting mechanics) and poor at other times (bowling and throwing mechanics).

i really want to like this game but what i just can't get over is they made it a set of mini-games.  if they left all of those same game-mechanics in place and kept the adventure-style genre each of these franchises is known for i would have loved this game.  as is it's hard not to think of it as a cheap cash in.

the trailer and description makes it look like a real adventure, a bit misleading. I played the demo without knowing it was a mini-game collection so I was "WTF is this shit?". it didn't seem a 5 though, for what it was it didn't look bad.

the words above were backed by NUCLEAR WEAPONS!

i'm IGNoring the IGN.
