A game that looks better on the PS3 (and still isn't the best looking game on that platform) and a tech demo utilizing no AI, no sound, no physics, no interface, and nothing else that constitutes a game. Oh yes, it is quite a future to behold.

Debatable.

So is this whole topic, but as far as shot comparisons have shown up to this point, the concensus is that the PS3 got the better end of the code.

No, it's not the concensus actually, despite what you read on Lens of Truth. At least not yet. It's still the other way around actually, most reviews tout X360 as the better looking version. Like IGN gave 9.5 to X360 version graphics and 8.5 to PS3 version graphics.

I don't know the truth though, I think the difference is negilible either way.

Okay okay. I'm with you then.

So looking to the future, what will Codename Kingdoms look like?

I don't think Kingdoms will look that special.

It's made by Crytek but Crytek only because they aquired or opened a new studio (in Hungary I think).

It could be a very good and exciting game, but as it seems to be "experimental" or at least somewhat original I doubt they will pull off another graphics king. Plus as I said it's being made by an external studio basically and I think (and hope) they're concentrating on story, atmosphere and gameplay more than graphics.

Or am I babbling here, has Yevat hinted at Kingdoms being top notch graphically?

I hope more developers use this game engine instead of Unreal Engine 3.

Codename Kingdoms will probably look even slightly better then Crysis 2 since it is being made spefically for the 360.

Yep, Crytek has already stated that they will be able to get more out of the 360 because of Kingdoms exclusivity.

Man, why do we have to wait for the 25th?

What does your thread title have to do with your post?

Crysis 2 is now the future for 360 owners (I certainly hope not as I have zero intention of ever getting it) or Kingdoms the future? Are you making a statement on how good it looks?

Can't speak for Selnor but this game surely prove that it is the quality and talent of the developer that bring the best out of a console and not necessarily the power of the hardware.

Look at Naughty Dog, they were slapping the PS3 around long before other developers were even scratching the surface of what the PS3 can do.

I'm just happy my 360 still has a lot up its sleeve.

I would hardly call some blatantly hasty screen grabs as a proper comparison, in a few days you'll get the proper comparison once they've actually calculated framerates, done their pixel counting and looked at the AA employed across the platforms and take the time to actually provide screen grabs that show both versions in their best light.

i tell u how the ps3 owners future look like :D

Uncharted 3 2011 graphic awards = TRUE

LOL at u people celebrating that u ALMOST matched uncharted 2, 2 years after.. JUST IN TIME FOR THE SEQUEL LOL

ahahaha you guys really need to ask more from your first party back at Microsoft. stop using crappy engines that clearly dont satisfy you visually. epic fail ahahahahaha

Is that when new info on Kingdoms comes out?
