EA has just announced that it will be pulling the plug on the currently live Crysis 2 demo on PSN:
“Thank you for your interest in the PlayStation 3 version of the Crysis 2 multiplayer demo. Though many gamers have had a great experience playing the demo, we are aware that others have been experiencing server connection delays. We’ve identified the root cause and have decided to close the PS3 demo in the next 24 hours to ensure all issues are resolved when the game launches next week. Our priority is to ensure that the final product is flawless at launch.”

I downloaded the demo on Wednesday and I shit you not, I could not connect to a single game. It is an absolute joke right now. First the game is said to look atrocious, then the demo doesn't even work.
After all that talk by Crytek about using all the PS3 has to offer and people hyping them to the sky, they truly look like a joke right now.
Very unfortunate and proof that you should release your titles and let them do the talking instead of talking a big game and being unable to deliver.
This is basically Crytek saying "Yeah, we know it runs like shit, looks like shit and only runs like shit and looks like shit when it actually wants to work, but even though this demo was so beyond awful that we were forced to pull the plug we want you to buy our game next week!"
Hehe, yeah right. Still have it coming from Gamefly though so maybe the final code is good, but from the videos I have seen the game has some brain dead AI.
