what are some good pc exclusive games?  ive only played a handful of pc games like age of empires and empire earth.  i would like to get into pc gaming if i could.  im thinking about getting the new starcraft and/or newest civilization game.  any genre will do, but i mostly like action/adventure, rpg, platformer, and the empire earth type games (not sure of the proper genre name).

Neverwinter Nights (Prettier than the other 3)
Neverwinter Nights 2 (Particularly the expansions) It's probably the worst game, but it's the newest one.

The Witcher Enhanced version, Dragon Age Origins (much better gameplay than console versions), Mass Effect saga (better gameplay than consoles too). I haven't tried other bioware rpgs yet (Neverwinter Nights, Baldur's Gate, KOTOR) but they are pretty famous for a reason, right?

I tried Shogun 2 demo and I'm getting it.

Empire Earth would be an Real Time Strategy game and Civilization a Turn Based Strategy game

I recommend: 

Age of Mythology - RTS

Rise of Nations - RTS/TBS

Rome Total War including Barbarian Invasion expansion - RTS/TBS

Medieval 2 Total War - RTS/TBS

SimCity 4 - City Building/Simulation

Rollercoaster Tycoon 1/2 - Simulation

I admit these are older games, but as typical PC games I value some of these most highly. I'm going to suppose you have access to console games otherwise there would be a lot more multiplatform title that I'd recommend.

I'm no expert on Civilization V, but if you're thinking about getting that you could consider getting Civilization IV instead

Any early LucasArts adventure game, they are all great. Personally I'd suggest Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis and Full Throttle above the others.
