If you could only buy 1 game for Multiplayer in FPS land. It's by far and away Halo Reach. By pure level design alone.

Halo Reach felt very meh to me. It didn't come close to the awesome that was 3.

Vanquish for me too. Easily one of the most fun games this gen.

Black Ops. It was the only shooter I played in the last 12 months.

Wow, I didn't expect to see so much love for Vanquish when I opened the thread. I must say I have found my next purchase. I was just thinking about picking up a game in the $30 range.

1st.  Halo Reach by miles.

2nd. Killzone 3.  Hella awesome game and the first game I've ever got a platinum trophy on!

1. Halo Reach simply because of the creativity some people have in making forge levels and the great multiplayer experience, though the campaign was average.

2. Bioshock 2. Still a pretty fun shooter though somewhat of a letdown compared to the first one.

3. Black Ops- zombie mode with friends is fun =D. The multiplayer was a huge letdown to me, but my friends seem to disagree because this seems to be the only game they've played since it came out.

Haven't really enjoyed any other shooters from the past 12 months, but from all these comments I'm going to have to give Vanquish a try.

Killzone 3 is seriously suprisng me how great it is. So gorgeous online and off. Great controls, options, rewards, story, everything except some of the dialogue.

It is imo the best shooter of all time. (with that I dont take into account how good games were for their time, obviously goldeneye would take that crown)

Im actually awaiting dlc for kz, and I will buy it, something I almost never do.

Homefront looks really good but I haven't played it yet. Best that I've played from the past 12 months is probably Black Ops even though I don't find that game to be all that good. I'm not really a Halo or Killzone fan. Resistance 3 looks great though.

Top of my list would be Halo Reach. I just can't find a multiplayer I like more, especially now that i discovered rift ball. Loved the campaign also. Also 4 player split screen for the win-is there any other shooter that can do this?

Next would MoH. I really like the campaign on that one. The feel was great, like the story. The controls were nice from what i remember. Sadly I did not get to play online much as it doesnt have split screen but what i did play was fun

Black Ops- I honestly only play it online split screen with my buddy as he likes it. Other than that I would probably wouldn't play it. I never had Cod MW or MW2. But I did have waw on the wii

I want to get into the battle field series but have not

I should be getting Homefront soon and what I have seen on these forums I think i'll like it.
