The gif in Carl's sig runs much slower in IE, so that's a plus. :D

lol.

Also scrolling is much smoother in IE9 than in FF 3.6. It's smooth everywhere except heavy pages like the vgc hub page and when you scroll a sig that has a .gif pic like this one

Still haven't tried ff 4.0 yet.

EDIT: Chrome smooth scrolling is better.

EDIT2: actually it's mixed bag. Scrolling in Different sites behave differently in chrome and IE so it's a tie.

IE9 is wonderful. The only con is that I can't post in Vgchartz with it.

It doesnt support add-ons, so no Adblock Plus.

I've made my switch from Firefox to Chrome as my main browser three months ago, and I ain't looking back (only use it for socks tunneling). Will try the new IE9 maybe that can replace my Firefox needs.

I love the way a new browser comes out and you blame the web sites for not being compatible, more likely MS still following there own standards rather than industry standards that the other browsers tend to follow, but of course it will be up to the website holders to put loads more "if IE do some bodge" into there web code rather than MS sorting out there browser.

I am using another adblocer but yes, it's not as good. The ad finishes loading and AFTER that it disappears/gets blcoked. Beats the point.

I wasn't actually blaming. I phrased it badly

I think its the site as you can't use any mobile browser to post either. The sites tools for buttons simply don't work in many browsers.

IE9 is the first out to focus on the next wave of internet technologies and that set of tools probably just isn't kosher with what is being used here in VGC.

This maybe why ioi and team are busy building/testing the next version of the site. At least I hope it is so that I can access the full site from my mobile devices too.
