So this means you could have upgraded your FoS to a vote without having to wait for Gnizmo to voice his suspicions of him?

I could have, but Ginizmo voicing his opinions did help me feel more confident about my vote.

Well it seems other than the couple small incidents that were pointed out earlier with dsister and hatmoza and now MetalGear_94's quick vote for A_Bad_Clown, not much else is happening.   In all honesty I probably wouldnt have a problem with a first day lynch in any of these cases if there was a little more to each incident but it would be too much of a gamble as it stands.

Vote: No Lynch

FoS: hatmoza, dsister & MetalGear_94

That is part of why it seems a bandwagon. You waited for someone else to share that opinion instead of sharing it yourself.

Also I wouldn't be surprized if many of the early FoS are thought of as jokes.

"I was getting bored" suggests that he'd be less bored if the game moved onto night 1?

Well there was a 7 hour gap between Heph's post (4:24 EST) and Gnizmo's post (11:27 EST) I'm guessing Metal_Gear's boredom comes from this lack of activity. Seems he was itching to post but needed someone to initate the day's conversation. Not too sure what this means though.

Exactly.

All I have is this thread to keep me occupied during march break.

You could have gone back and reread the thread and try and post your opinion on other peoples posts, findings or theories.  But, instead of fixing the inactivity and stop your boredom,  you waited for a good time to throw out a vote on someone as soon as he was mentioned by another person?  As to justify the vote.  Sure you had an FoS on him, but why wait so long to vote if it took only one persons opinion to switch it to a vote.

sozololololol I forgot it started.

OK, but I hope you will soon have more to say about the happenings so far.

I'm reading the thread now, don't disturb a dog while he's reading!

Are you done reading? Can you share some thoughts with us?

I don't see anything of consequence having taken place. As always day 1 has been people making a big deal out of other peoples posts and trying to find secret hints by micro analysing words and trying to make them seem suspicious without hardly any backing. The only minutely relevant thing that might have been done is dsister trying to start a conversation trying to get everyone putting their thoughts forward on his 3 points...its difficult to say what his intentions were for doing that, they may be innocent, they may be vile. Don't have enough info to say anything either way.

Answer to dsister's questions:

1. What is your opinion on a day 1 lynch?

Bullshit...unless someone has played the game extremely bad then this should be avoided. I am even cautious on lynching lurkers because sometimes there might be genuine reasons for their absence and any risk of getting a townie lynched should not be taken.

2. Do you think it's ok under any circumstances for a townie to lie?

Under most circumstances? No its not ok to lie. Under ANY at all? Yes lies may need to be told if the townie has a strong role but wants to cover it up from the Mafia. So there are certain situations where a Townie may need to lie for the greater good of the team, at times its important for Townies to save themselves as their powers are of the utmost importance to the team in the bigger picture.

3. What's your opinion on lurkers?

Either they are genuinely busy or Mafia who are too scared to post in case they might be caught out. Finally the game might be getting too boring making people loose interest leading to lurking in which case they should be kicked out.

is this your first game on VGC?

(no you have not done anything, it's just info for me since i don't know you :p)

Yeah, I've played a simplified version of Mafia before, a long time ago, so still getting used to all the rules and whatnot, like I had to look up wth FoS is an acronym for :L, but yeah it's a much more interesting version. Haven't had much time to participate in the discussion as I've kicked studying up a notch, so staying at school untill ridiculous hours.

Disconnect and self destruct, one bullet a time.

This is just an excuse to hide the real reason why someone would lurk.

What do you see that people are making big deals over?  Most of what I see is people taking it slow and just noting things that could be something while aknolaging that it could be nothing as well.

The biggest thing I think going on currently is MetalGears vote. While not huge is the most noteworthy thing people are "making a big deal out of".

What are your thoughts on what should go on in day one?
