-big sigh of relief-

The last few games I played as scum, and it was hard to avoid and direct posts to certain players as a scum, because of the risk of associating yourself with others.

I feel like a big weight has been lifted off my back now that I can post more freely.

Clearly inferring that you are not scum this game, but who in their right mind would make such a clear statement that they are on the good side...its as if you want the mafia to kill you, only they wouldn't be able to if you were a mafia member as well.

Vote: hatmoza

The underlined doesn't make sense. All hatmoza said was "I'm protown", the Mafia already knows that so that doesn't put him more at risk than any other townie.

You're right when you say this kind of post is suspicious but hatmoza has a tendancy to roleclaim on Day One and I remember him making the same kind of post after getting a pro-town role after a string of scum roles (and he was really town).

I agree with prof, I initially thought good of dsister's discussion post until he prematurely attacked heph.

dsister does this every game though. Maybe not the exact same questions, but the method of fostering discussion. Lynch all liars is also an extremely common ideology. I really think you are both reading way too much into this.

So asking a question of how someone feels about a given topic (albeit a question pulled out of a hat) is creating discussion,

and asking a question about why someone would feel the need to ask these questions for the purpose of voting someone is reading too deeply?

I'll remind you that dsis' reasoning had to do with a combination of 1 and 2. So, his reasoning is that "since he is for day 1 lynch" and "since he thinks all lies are bad", Heph can be lynched. Let me also remind you that several people answered his questions before he himself did. All were for day 1 lynch, and all against lying. So, given the situation that he knew people were for both of those things and then decided to push for Heph, don't you think it's at least coincidental?

Also, is it really discussion if the end result was to vote the first person he disagreed with?

Offtopic concern with dsis:

I do agree that "not reading your pm" is suspicious. In fact, it's one of the main things mafia talk about as a bane; that knowing you are mafia and knowing your teammates changes your game and makes you think differently, making it harder to blend in and keep your mates safe.

That doesn't inherently make someone a mafia. But it is an underlining thought of every mafia post early on. "pretend you don't know your teammates".

Whether you agree or not, doesn't make a difference to me. Just giving my opinion.

Just to clue you in on some of my thought process, here is a paraphrased quote from a site I use:

Structure Setup

This tell can be summarised as, "the people that talk about how the game's structure might be instead of analyzing the reasons for why posts and ideas are put forth, are usually scum and possibly in a group of scum as the people the accuse.

Votals:
[1,L-8] radishhead: Hephaestos
[2,L-7] Hephaestos: dsister, Final-Fan
[1,L-8] hatmoza: Baalzamon

With 16 alive, it takes 9 to lynch. Currently there is no deadline.

Also, I hadn't provided a link for roles.(The one I did was for the characters) Here ya go: http://mafiascum.net/wiki/index.php?title=Category:Roles

That's kind of hard to read, you mean that the people asking how the game is structured rather than trying to find reasons for why people post ideas are usually scum?

Like how ABC asked how much mafia are in this game at the beginning?
