I wanted a Wii but as they are sold out so I will buy a PS3.

I'm planning to buy a 40GB PS3 but I have a doubt.

Are there other differences between the 80GB and 40GB PS3s than:

- The 40GB difference

- Motorstorm

- PS2 compatibility

Only 2 usb ports vs 4 on the 80gb
and no memory card slots.

2 lesser usb ports and no ps2 backwards compatibility. Go for it. Three of my friends have bought it and they said they have liked it.

Go for the 80Gb one, I have only had mine a year and it alreay has 30 Gb of MP3's and demos, the space is important

Also motorstorm isn't as good as it seems, the controller is the wrong shape for the motion controls

I really don't need the space, I got my 160GB ipod for mp3's. Besides, doesn't the PS3 work with third party hard disk drives? isn't a 40GB one less than $100?

Well, I guess it's true that the Wii shortages are driving people like me to buy from the competition.

Yeah I have a 80 gig iPod but I also like the music to play from the TV while I'm playing games, but I supose an iPod is just as good.
