Forums - Sony - IGN: Yakuza 4 Review

http://ps3.ign.com/articles/115/1154748p1.html

6.5 Presentation
You'll get an entertaining cutscene and then get dumped to text boxes to click through. The map is tough to navigate. City feels alive, though.
7.0 Graphics
The cutscenes can look pretty at times, but they can also look flat. In-game visuals are showing their age; lots are recycled from Yakuza 3.
6.5 Sound
I have no idea what the people are saying, but it sounds really good. Sadly, most in-game convos have no voice work. There's not even that much memorable music.
6.5 Gameplay
I still like beating people up, but it gets old having to level-up four different times. The weak story cheapens the progression I loved in the last game.
7.0 Lasting Appeal
There's a ton of stuff to do. You could spend dozens of hours on the side quests. However, I won't because the game mechanics just feel old.
6.5
OVERALL
Okay

-------------

I think it's still worth a shot if you liked Yakuza 3.

Funny but you could of thought of a phrase that at least had an 'I' and a 'G' in it

Around the Network

There is no reason not to pick this up if you already enjoyed Yakuza 3.

Take a look at my photos on flickr

I stopped caring about review scores a long time ago. So still day one for me.

2012 - Top 3 [so far]

                                                                             #1                                       #2                                      #3

Day one for me too. Anything on a HD console that comes from Japan and that is not Final Fantasy and Metal Gear is generally being bashed by IGN.

I knew sega should have added killstreaks!

Time for hype

According to Edge magazine Yakuza 4 is better than Dragon Age 2. :)  Edge gave Yakuza 4 a 7.
