| 6.5 | Presentation You'll get an entertaining cutscene and then get dumped to text boxes to click through. The map is tough to navigate. City feels alive, though. |
| 7.0 | Graphics The cutscenes can look pretty at times, but they can also look flat. In-game visuals are showing their age; lots are recycled from Yakuza 3. |
| 6.5 | Sound I have no idea what the people are saying, but it sounds really good. Sadly, most in-game convos have no voice work. There's not even that much memorable music. |
| 6.5 | Gameplay I still like beating people up, but it gets old having to level-up four different times. The weak story cheapens the progression I loved in the last game. |
| 7.0 | Lasting Appeal There's a ton of stuff to do. You could spend dozens of hours on the side quests. However, I won't because the game mechanics just feel old. |
