It's mainly due to price cuts and certin exclusive bundles pushing hardware sales. The PS3 has not beat the XBox 360 in yearly totals in the U.S. You are probably thinking about worldwide sales and PS3 has the edge because of Japan. Remove Japan sales from the equation and the 360 would lead. It's just too bad that Japanese gamers will only embrace consoles from their own country. I just wonder what would happen if America did the same thing.

Surely - the one reason Xbox 360 is still outselling PS3 in the US is because many Americans are buying what they believe to be a US product over a Japanese one? or mabe they're just looking for cheaper console and like the dancing games of kinect (which let's face it are the only good ones so far)...

Have you seen the attach rate of Kinect? It's like one game per system which is lame, MS really need to step up with a 'must have' Kinect game soon. No i live in the US, and the reason 360 outsells the ps3 is because there are so many Microsoft ads, u never see ps3 on tv. it's like xbox is mainstream and the ps3 isnt

I think its mainly because he has a lot of contacts in the industry.

How do you explain the Wii having 10 million lead over the 360?

I think Americans play more FPS type games then any other country and the XBox 360 probably have the most. Plus the PS3 started out so bad and so slow with their games when it launched, many American gamer just went with the 360 and never looked back. I think the lack of decent JRPG on the PS3 really hurt it early on too. I've always relied on Playstation for great RPG's, strategy and fighting games and XBox for FPS, racing and sports games. I still own both consoles nontheless.

KZ3 bundles are probably accountable for about an eight of those sales, which is impressive, otherwise it'd probably be about ~350k, 100k below Wii, also don't forget some of the promotions that big retailers are offering, $50 off etc.
