Forums - Sony - GT5 1.08 live now

The latest GT5 update, v1.08, has just gone live in Europe and North America (it became available in Asia earlier today). According to Polyphony Digital, this small patch only fixes one issue that has become something of a hot-topic in our forums over the past few days. Known as the “SSR7 glitch” or the “online money glitch”, it allowed players to quickly accumulate a lot of money and A-Spec experience points -- check the video above to see how it was done.

v1.08 weighs in at just 1.7MB in size. Thanks to lilmann73 for the quick tip!

I loved the 1.7MB part... I hated the previous 1.05 with 500MB.

I anticipate receiving patches until GT6 which will be when GT5 was supposed to be released in the creators mind haha

I can't tell if this is sarcasm or if you're happy about the content lol

I'm serious... 1.7MB is a fine update even when nothing intersting coming... but 500MB or more is a painful ass.

But I agree the patch could has anything new.

Aww I was hoping for being able to save during endurance races. I guess fixing the glitch pushed that back.

Why do the seasonal events yield so few credits and so little xp compared to the earlier ones? Its almost impossible to make any kind of cash now. And I love how they made the rewards for special events bigger after I finished all of them...

I didn't know patches were necesary to update those seasonal events. Too bad! I thought the game took so long to load from screen to screen due to low internet connection. I thought the updated  was dinamic (I mean, the same way you check international records for time trials, you don't download a patch to do that).

Seasonal Events are updated automaticaly... no patch needed... just PD updated both at the same time (a new patch and Seasonal/Remote Events).

That makes sense now... Thanks!
