This is way overpriced if true. Nothing from Sony themselves though. the only price they mentioned for their next xperia line up is Arc.

Eh, that contract deal doesn't sound all too bad considering what we have in my country, the standalone is cheaper than our contracts anyway hehe. Would be an option for me had we had this price.

It's free with a contract?  Here it'll probably be $150-200 with a two year contract.

I'm wandering why some people think an PS3 at $300 is expensive but they are considering paying $500 for a new phone every other year? 

It is much to expensive to upgrade to this for me it seams.

Kind of....  its cheaper than the iphone (crazy stand alone price)

but quite a bit more than the best Nokia, HTC and Blackberry - they tend to be in the mid to high 300's (Nokia N8 is £369)

Using Play.com as a guideline (sim free prices), HTC Desire HD is £480. The newSony Xperia is £420 new. new Blackberry Torch 9800 is £460. Play.com has new Samsung Galaxy S II (release in May) at £540. LG Optimus 2X £460.

To be honest it seems a fair price for what is offered. The £30 a month with the phone is a good deal though,

yes its nothing unusual and is in line with most decent smartphones.... obviously it is cheaper than an iPhone 4.0...

Could be pretty successful if pushed right, I actually expected some stupid decisions from Sony on this one, guess not.

Indeed, but every retailer seems to agree on this price and is advertising it as such, but obviously the US price will be significantly less than the pound/dollar exchange quoted here.


I thought that was the us price XXD

Neo price is the real bargain. 1 ghz processor, exmor r sensor is equipped with the camera,  andreno 205 gpu and more ram.

Both prices being issued today means this is final.
