Ultimately the 3D effect adds nothing to these titles from a gameplay perspective -- you won't be spotting enemies around corners or aiming your passes better thanks to the screen. However, it does add another bit of visual flair, a new and interesting graphical tweak that even your high-end gaming PC probably isn't delivering.

Contradiction much? Do these "professional writers" get proof read at all?

Yeah, HD graphics adds nothing to perspective neither.

to get good 3d effect you have to hold still and hold ds right upto your face??????

So you don't hold your portable devices right in front of you.  You hold them to the side or at oblique angles?

well on my DS id say i hold it at average distance, but on 3DS you may have to hold much nearer and keep static to get full effect. i reckon il be keeping slider about 50%

I put a little more than an hour of use into it at last years E3.  I don't recall ever having to hold it only inches in front of my face.   About 8" - 18" still seemed to work.

Err...

I know that my DSi only lasts about 3 hours with WiFi on at full blast, and my DSL lasted 4 hours. So, I'd like to see the power station in the back of their DS Lite

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

You also missed the posts above you.

I wonder why they're complaining about the system not having a usb/mini-usb connector? Don't they know that you can get a DSi(and 3DS by default) connector to usb charging cable? It's a cable that has the DSi connector on one end and a usb connector on the other end. I've seen them for like 600yen around here. (The DSi and 3DS have the same connector.)

I picked mine up for very cheap though. It was a bundle on clearance that included a DSi Silicon cover, a 2gb SD card and the DSi->usb charging cable for 500yen.

That cable also lets me use my Dsi/3DS with my Eneloop Stick Charger for emergency charging, as it has a usb connector. (I bought it to use with my iphone)

I know that they don't add much if anything at all. That's my point.

Nothing and not much are not the same.
