Forums - Sony Discussion - Sony's Request For IP Addresses Granted

Haven't checked the site and won't. I highly doubt they'll just ban someone for visiting the site.

At most if they catch someone cheating, they can look up if the IP-owner has visited the Hack-site and with better certainty ban the HaXXors ass.

I think some peeps freak out too easily. People are perfectly fine putting their pictures/info on sites like facebook for everyone to look-up, but seems the IP-address is THAT big of a deal compared, huh?

Just chill, as long as you ain't doing anything illegal, Sony won't bother doing anything to your account.

You are so wrong... from the things people think sony is capable off... i bet they will forge a buying of a PS3 for all people that were in the log and also buy Us$1000,00 worth of PSN content just to profit, or pirate themselves to prove there's piracy and get all to jail... it's so obvious don't you see?

/sarcasm in case some people don't realize.

"One is to prove the “defendant’s distribution” of the hack. The other involves a jurisdictional argument over whether Sony must sue Hotz in his home state of New Jersey rather than in San Francisco, which Sony would prefer. Sony said the server logs would demonstrate that many of those who downloaded Hotz’s hack reside in Northern California — thus making San Francisco a proper venue for the case."

Thank god for posting this. I mean you would think the 99 other posters in this thread would have looked for it instead of speculating on what Sony will do with the IPs...

The gem posts in this thread makes you wonder how the human race ever got out of caves and learned to make fires............

Just because a kind hacker released how to make fire, isn't it obvious we own our soul to them?
