(The one above is actually from the Americian Psychological Assosition... which is about as definitive as it gets for American Psychology, which generally is the most advanced psychology.)

Nice studies. Don't know what they have to do with this topic, then again, given my history of derailing topics, I shouldn't talk.

Umm the topic is the Westboro Baptist Church and one of their big claims to fame is their stance on Gay marriage. You brought it up earlier in the discussion. Despite the fact that myself and many others agreed the church was in the wrong you said that Homosexual relationships don't hurt anyone, above clearly shows they do!

Did you read the articles? They clearly show the opposite. You can get that just from the titles.

What you say "innappropriate material" what do you mean by that? They're certainly not porn (and I think you're old enough to watch porn ).

Here are the titles of the articles:

Children raised by gay couples show good progress through school

and

New Research: Children With Gay Parents End Up the Same as Children of Straight Ones

I think you should change the settings on that blocker.

Nice studies. Don't know what they have to do with this topic, then again, given my history of derailing topics, I shouldn't talk.

Gay couple and straight couples raising kids do about as well as each other.  Considering that living in an unheallthy enviroment greatly hurts a kid... it would make sense to assume generally everything is the same.

There is a somewhat higher case of gay people being in a relationship, but this has less to do with the inherent morality of the beater, and more to do with the options of the abused.

There are far less gay people then straight people, so it's much harder to find a gay mate, so they're more likely to fall into the "it's this or nothing" spiral, gay people are also less likely to report abuse because, well... they're gay and considering attitudes towards gay people, a lot of people don't like to broadcast they are gay.  So in general, the perpetraitors know they can get away with it.

It's like if you have two buildings, one with a vending machine, and the other with a basket where you can put your dollar in the box in the middle and take what you want out of the basket.

That building two has more snacks stolen isn't a proof of greater immorality.

Interesting. I think you forgot to add a couple of words in your post, as some things don't quite make sense.

Could be, I wrote it rather late.  Though the point is, while there is some proof to show that gay people find themselves in worse relationships, it's just because it's easier for the "bad ones" to get away with being abusive.

Yes, and that's the interesting part. Too bad some people (not gonna name them) often (intentionally) misinterpret such situations.
