But that is not easy (better: expensive). They will have logistical trouble. They have to take another port in another country and transport their shipments to their retailers.

That's just speculation on your part. I would imagine that supply would be of the highest priority and transport logistics would be relatively easy to overcome. But hey, that's just my speculation :). Anyway, we are talking 10 days at present and we are talking at only one import point - the Netherlands.

This means there is a whole LOT of other scenario's, solutions, and possibilities. I seriously doubt this would have incredible impact on supply. I guess we shall see.

Yes, of course . Sony can use other ports and has many possibilities.I would never deny that.

This made me 'Tee hee' a little.

Decisive move by Microsoft.  Let us remember that Sony started messing with LG on their phones in the states, and sued to block LG from importing phone to the USA.  So LG decided to fight back and sue Sony over  a known issue that they had let slide about the PS3.

Too bad Microsoft isn't ready to launch thel Kinect support update for the next set of European Languages.  That would make even better timing and perhapse a full HD Console Coup d'eta in Europe.

Full Kinect Xbox 360 discount would equal massive win for Microsoft.

Also - they are also forcing Sony to settle soon or lose market share.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

damn what Sony do to LG? LOL

Even before all this started, and after true clearance sales ended, here in Italy MediaWorld started doing a special offer for Kinect @ 99€. Now, whether this means they don't sell well or instead they received discounted stocks from MS to do the offer and push Kinect more is unknown, what I know is that the limited stock, IIRC, was of 2k or 3k units, this just for a single chain of megastores, although one of the biggest. To make a comparison, they had an offer for PS3 on a 4k stock, and in the whole country PS3 sold the previous week little less than 7k, so, considering the usual sales of XB360 and what's now the Kinect:360 sales ratio, even at 2k the Kinect offer could be considered bigger in proportion and big by itself for our market.

This takes to an astonishing conclusion: if MS already planned to heavily push XB360 and Kinect, and just at the best moment the PS3 seizing came too, it would be YACUL (Yet Another Case of Unbelievable Luck) for MS. I'm speechless...  8-O  Although if we think about it, that MS be still one of the biggest companies in the world even now that it has been guided for years by a paranoid cholesterol and cocaine junkie, necessarily implies an insane amount of luck.
