It's actually probably pretty close...lots of little kids who don't even know what porn is view the internet too...and they count as a percentage of internet users just like you and I do.

Well the whole deal is that this article is total anti-porn, so they will create surveys and what not to make it seem bad.

So imagine a survey gets sent to you and asks blatantly "Are you a woman and do you struggle with pornography addiction?" This doesn't mean that 17% of all women have struggled, just 17% of those surveyed.

The statement that over 200,000 Americans are porn addicts is totally different from the women argument.

That's why I think it's undertracked. I think the majority of internet users view or have viewed porn, so the percentage seems low to me.

If 42.7 % of the internet say they view porn then that means 57.3% of the internet is lying ;)

I don't get why people think the number is so far off...lots of kids who don't view porn use the internet...lots of older people don't view porn on the internet...I know several people my age including myself that don't view porn.

I think the reason people think it is so far off is because a lot of the users on this site are probably in the 15-30 age group, and a lot of the people they communicate with are also of that age level, and the usage is probably much higher than that for those ages.
