xD Well... I guess it's pretty realistic since I've seen those ads in football matches from europe on TV :P But it's funny to see those on the 3DS.
BTW, I just found out it's already released in Japan :O. I should try to keep up with gaming news :P.

you guys watch football in europe? i always thought you were soccer people.
looks like europeans do have good tastes in sports after all. :)

There is a good reason why Handegg is not popular all around the world and football is.
Handegg, on the other hand, looks like rugby for pussies inside their helmets.

I wonder if you have played the game at all...
And considering the amount of bs flopping in soccer...
|
Ok, I did not, you got that right. I wasn't really serious about the second statement.

I dont watch soccer (us), football (rest of world) because of the stupid flops..... Its so annoying watching everyone flopping on the ground when most of the time they dont get touched.... maybe they should make it like the NHL.... When you take a dive in the NHL you get a penalty.....
|
Well actually they punish divers with yellow cards if they notice it and if theyve done it for a penalty or more than one in midfield or any other position, thing is, there is a whole game of trying to get away with it and fool the ref so they are hard to spot, and the ref usually sees 2 guys running fast, one going at the ball and maybe touching the feet first, the other one is going to try to get advantage of it and pretend he was hurt with it.
So, to fix it, refs could have cameras and stuff to watch if the thing is true or not, but, that would make the game slower and less fluid. It all depends on the league anyway, you see here in south america they let you hit more, thats why some players start going to europe and have to change the way they play so they wont get yellow and red cards.
Thing is, some dives may look like they are nothing, but running fast trying to control a ball with your feet and a guy coming really fast at you and touching your feet, pulling your shirt or arm makes you fall, and leagues with a lot of hitting tend to have lots of injuries, so lets not pretend football is about diving trying to get a foul cause most of the times the fouls are real.

maybe if a high scoreing game in SOCCER wasnt 2 to 1 i might watch it.
also way to much flopping (God was watching the world cup painful). they need instant review for goals and other penelaties. also they need to stop the clock, not add random amount of time that the refs choose.
to much delaying of games with flopping goes on, its not fair

But this is also one of the magics of the soccer. It's not artificial like footbal....A soccer game in 1930 and 2011 is about the same. There aren't even technology to identify if the ball entered or not in the goal(or is a very recent thing used only in Europe and World Cup).
Also, in basketball and football you have 761438756181 points....When you reach 70% of the match you can conclude who is gonna win....When you have more points, there are less emotion involved for each point...
In soccer, 90% of the time a team can still draw or win a match in the last minutes. Also, it doesn' matter if you have the best team, or if you played a match way better than the opponent.
Americans doesn't understand soccer because they don't undersand the true meaning of a goal. A shitty team of Afrika can win a game against Brazil in soccer. But not in basketball.

To fault football for implementing technology you would have to severly misunderstand the nature of the game. Each play is ~7 seconds of fury. Refs have a difficult time as it is to decipher the carnage in real time. Cameras are there for the accuracy and integrity of the game.
Some Americans, myself especially, LOVE a defensive game of football. There's great enjoyment seeing teams like the Packers, Steelers, or Ravens shut down opposing offenses. In fact, the shift to a more arena style football does not excite me in the slightest. AND YET I'd rather see an offense heavy game over a god forsaken tie any day!
And the Refs! The Refs! Fifa is horrible at managing the quality of their refs. Why is Fifa afraid of quality control?
I'll give credit to where credit is due. Soccer is great exercise, and a game in its purest form; no flopping, ties, incompetent refs, aswell as with a team you care a little bit about has potential to be somewhat enjoyable.
I'll never be 'into' soccer until flopping and ties are abolished.
