Sounds like I need to move to Colorado.

So many Texans already do.     Move to the city of Denver and it is already legal. You can smoke on you balconey with no worries.

Just a little article I thought I would post concerning MJ legalization in Colorado. Most men vote yes, but women more often vote no. To bad this site is mostly a sausage festival, but maybe a few women will open their eyes to science, facts and reality.

Colorado Effort To Legalize MJ Turns in Signatures Posted by CN Staff on January 05, 2012 at 05:39:56 PT

Colorado -- If a campaign to legalize limited possession of marijuana in Colorado is to succeed, it will have to make inroads into skepticism by women, according to a recent poll.

Perhaps that's why supporters of the campaign put more than a dozen women front and center at a news conference Wednesday as they turned in about 160,000 signatures to put the legalization initiative on the ballot. Wanda James — owner of the medical-marijuana-infused-food company Simply Pure — said the showing was intended to counter "a misconception that young men are driving the legalization of marijuana and the cannabis movement."

"It's time for this change," James said. ". . . And it's time for women to lead the fight."

The initiative needs about 86,000 signatures from valid Colorado voters to make the ballot. If the secretary of state's office determines the campaign collected enough signatures, the measure would be the first certified for the 2012 ballot.

The measure would amend the Colorado Constitution to legalize possession of up to an ounce of marijuana for any purpose by people ages 21 and older. People would also be able to grow up to six plants in their homes.

The amendment would also allow for retail marijuana stores, regulated in a manner similar to medical-marijuana dispensaries. Communities, though, would be able to ban pot shops. Consumption of marijuana in public would not be allowed.

Nice little article there Chocoloco. It seems like they took some corrective actions to showcase women more. I wonder why they are more likely to say no? Not sure but probably guessing they are misinformed and never bothered really looking into the entire matter. I tend to forget that most common people have terrible marijuana knowledge due to the bs propaganda the government spews out. Also, a decent amount of news network do a piss poor job covering the topic. CNBC did a decent documentary on marijuana awhile back. I doubt we can get any woman's input on this site for this matter considering there are only a few and they probably won't ever post in this thread.

Unless the federal agents come. If the DEA so chose, they could prosecute everyone with any amount of marijuana regardless of municipal or state law.

Really it's one of those grey areas that states/municipalities are even being allowed to do this

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

The problem was the same when Cali tried to legalize in 2010. Women are less likely to say yes according to what I have read because they are less likely to have tried it, use psychoactive substances less in general, and because of their strong maternal instinct are more likely to believe the legalization would some how harm children more.

By the way I just read Washington will be voting to legalize  along with Cali again. Michigan is also looking to put the law on the ballot in 2014.

And I agree for the vast majority real knowledge about marijuana is dismal. The good thing is the younger generation is realizing that the lies there grandparents were told are complete falsifications.

The federal government is only concerned with busting large scale drug dealers, not some peaceful hippy hicking a trail and smoking a doobie. Of course, they could choose to, but do really think the would waste funds on small time users?

DEA GO AWAY! DEA GO AWAY!

The entire marijuana situation with states legalizing medical marijuana while the USA government still has it schedule 1 (no medical use).  I just don't understand what country I live in.  How are people so mislead?  Why are most people sheep and believe any bs that is fed to them by the government.  At least I am living in a time where people aren't being arrested for transporting condoms across state lines but really USA is a fucking mess.  Our laws and the way we govern is pathetic.  Let us lock up all the non-violent drug users and put them in prisons.  Let us be a prison nation.  Sometimes I just want to skull fuck all the idiots in USA.

Just going to say that I would never consider myself a Texan considering I was born and raised for 18 years in Ohio.  Texas is a state that is so full of itselt that it cracks me up.  Most things are advertised directly to Texans (Trucks with Texas editions, beer stating they are True Texan, commercials saying the word Texas/Texans over and over again, etc..)  Just had to put that out there since I would be ashamed if I really was from Texas.
