The problem was the same when Cali tried to legalize in 2010. Women are less likely to say yes according to what I have read because they are less likely to have tried it, use psychoactive substances less in general, and because of their strong maternal instinct are more likely to believe the legalization would some how harm children more.
By the way I just read Washington will be voting to legalize along with Cali again. Michigan is also looking to put the law on the ballot in 2014.
And I agree for the vast majority real knowledge about marijuana is dismal. The good thing is the younger generation is realizing that the lies there grandparents were told are complete falsifications.
