Forums - Nintendo - Significant Problem With Monster Hunter Tri

I have noticed this problem recently, there is a black border around the game screen. My TV is widescreen and my Wii and also Monster Hunter Tri is on widescreen setting. Is there a solution to the problem or is it a permanent problem?

Well, my nephew pressed random buttons on the TV, to the point where it didn't really work anymore - could a button have been pressed somehow, to change the screen settings?

It's unusual if that was the case because the problem only features with Monster Hunter Tri and another game.

True, MH3 has small black borders at the sides. It's also known as Japanese Lazyness, as almost every Japanese developer fails to make true 16:9 480p work on the Wii.

Oh, so it's laziness from the developers! Thank you!

same here...   : (

i searched for it, and sadly that's how the game is, Capcom's fault

game has some of Wii's best graphics and is not even full screen

don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^

When you said 'significant problem' and you missed Tri today, I thought there was a real issue!

But no, that's how it is. Syick posters on the side or ignore it. I'd played it for 250ish hours and never noticed it, but now...

CANNOT UNSEE!

Huh...I've never had this problem and I've played this game on two different TVs. It's always been fully widescreen for me. The only game I've had black borders in was Arc Rise Fantasia...

It varies from TV to TV. I have played it on 5 TVs (don't ask why) and only one TV has an issue...

Something to do with the TV/Wii settings?

I'll tell you what the significant problem with Monster Hunter Tri is:

Rathalos.

but yeah, i noticed that border too. I thought something was wrong with my Wii, but i noticed when i'd boot up the game that the Wii Menu still filled the screen

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
