Hey guys just got done with a gaming session on the PS3...add my PSN tag! Its YO_mUThEr

I'll post my opinions in the OP.

Stay away from that God of War 3 demo!  It was so unrefined that it made me not want to play the game.  Buy GoW3 without any fear (you should probably play the less graphically impressive GoW Collection, first) and prepare to have your mind blown.  I know I said something about overhyping games, but trust me on this one!!

UPDATE: Ok now that I've had a chance to play some games and mess around on the PS3 i'm gonna post my opinions.

So far I've played through a mission or two of Killzone 3 and I have to say its AMAZING! The gameplay is amazing and just pure epic, and i'm only on normal difficulty but the game can be hella hard (can't imagine how hard it is on Elite!) The graphics aren't the second coming like some make them out to be but they are the best I have seen on consoles and definitely a nice step up from anything I've seen the 360 be able to do. Game is a 9.8/10

I also played a tiny bit of Motorstorm...that game is hella hard, and the graphics are crap (but hey it was a launch title) Fun game though!

Other games I got were GOW collections, GOW3, and Infamous, and I only played some GOW1 out of those 3 games. I'm planning on starting with GOW1 and working my way to GOW3.

Now onto my thoughts about the console itself.

I have to say i'm not really a fan of the dashboard....its very simpilistic (which is good) but kind of boring. Does the job just fine though!

I like that PSN is free (it would suck paying for 2 online memberships) and its pretty good.  No cross chat or party chat is going to be a bummer for me though (I use them all the time on my 360) but thats not a huge deal either since I don't have a mic yet xD

I love disk slot loading! And the console looks pretty good.

I don't like the weird annoying sounds it makes when it loads games up.

My biggest beef with the PS3 has to be with the controller....who thought having non-concave thumbsticks would be a good idea?!?  The left thumbstick is in the left place and the triggers (or tabs really) are pretty horrible...the D-pad is really good though! But I fixed these problems by going out and getting a $20 PS3 controller thats much more like the 360 controller.

I also downloaded Home and messed around on that a bit. I think its pretty cool, probably won't spend too much time on it though.

Oh I know! I've played the other GOW games but it was so long ago I decided to pick up Collections and play through them and then play GOW3.

just read your impressions and I pretty much agree with everything you said.  I just bought LBP2 (first retail game purchase of 2011!) but I think I should havegone with Killzone 3 after seeing your totally honest, unbiased opinion.

I don't think there are any free PSN games...

You can get free ones with PS Plus  though they are only rental. (That is expires after your subscription expires).

You can buy a new Dynamic theme(which is flash-based and cost around $3 I think) to decorate your XMB, or you can download los of free themes on PSN. They are not as good as dynamic ones though.

(If you weren't blown by killzone 3, then damn.....I wonder what will blow your mind...) 

Yeah man I say Killzone 3 is one of those games that you pretty much have to get if you even remotely enjoy shooters. Plus I need people on my friends list with Killzone 3 so I can play with them online!
