Forums - Sales - Initial shipment of 3DS units sells out in Japan

Nintendoeverything

1.5 million 3DS units will be sent to Japan by the end of March. And, already, the initial shipment has been swallowed up by consumers. Nikkei is reporting that the 400,000 units made available on launch day are now in the hands of gamers across the country. An additional shipment should be heading to Japan very shortly

I have to say im quite surprise it didnt instantly sold out though. Ive read that it was still possible to get one in store after a couple hours. Personally, I thought with the pre-orders it would have all been sold out inside 30 minutes. 400 K is a lot nonetheless.

who would have thought!

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”
