I idea of this thread is to compare boxart of games, maybe from one region to another, or maybe original to re-release.  I've been thinking of making this thread for a while, but was suddenly spurred into action after having the shock of my life seeing the US cover for Suikoden, compared to my European cover.

This time, we will be covering one of my favourite games of all time, Okami.  A game that has had it's fair share of different covers.

Choice 1: Japanese PS2 Cover:

fantastic, although this strikes me more as a piece of artwork more fitting for a special edition sleeve, rather than a standard cover.

Choice 2: North American/European PS2 Cover:

While I like this cover, the artwork itself is my least favourite out of the ones I've shown.  It's a shame this game came out on the PS2 while I was still engrossed in Twilight Princess.  It was always on my 'to buy' list until the Wii port released and I finally bought it.

Choice 3: Japanese Wii Cover

My personal favourite.  I like how colourful it is and the position of Ammy.

Choice 4: North American/European Wii Cover:

While I like the art on this cover, the IGN logo on the US cover (not the one above) is IMO just sloppy.

Choice 5: U.K HMV Special Edition Wii Cover:

This is the cover I have.  While the game was £5 more expensive at HMV, I was willing to pay extra for this beautiful special edition cover.

I was gonna vote for the Japanese one, but the HMV spec. ed is just too beautiful. I'd like that for my wall!

I've always loved the Japanese PS2 cover the most. 

I wish I could of gotten the HMV Wii version, it's far better than the awful NA/Euro Wii cover. 

I think both number 4 and 5 are pretty nice but I chose the NA PS2 over it.

The Japenese wii cover is the best.The worst is the American cover similar to four with the IGN logo.Unfortunatly it's the one I own.

My favorite is the Japanese PS2 cover.

I have the IGN cover. 

I actually like it the best since it's a cool conversation piece.

I'm not sure if it was intentional, but I always liked how the Wii covers' use of color correlated with the actual game's brighter color palette.

Of course, the European Wii cover is an exception here.

I voted for the HMV spec edition.

The Japanese PS2 cover is just simply beautiful. Also it's the only one that says Clover Studios on the Cover!

Second would be the Japanese Wii Cover a beautiful Cover for a New Generation.    

Third would be the HMV Special Edition Wii Cover.  

and in a final note Colver Studios is dead Long live Platinum Games!!
