On the contrary. It's the PSP that's slashing its price tag, LOL.

consider getting a DSL since that's about $30 cheaper and much cheaper if you can find a clearance deal or something.
DSi have a more sturdy build/layout though.

You'll have to elaborate seeing as you can play all the games you mentioned and probably sequels to the above and others like them.
Anyway what kind of DS are you looking at? DSi or DS Lite? The DSi XL is really cool but not very portable, really depends on what these reasons are that you speak of but the DS Lite is still a good option if you're not interested in DSiWare or the cameras plus you can play GBA games if you're interested in any..

I second that. I bought an XL to replace my DSL that my nephew broke (after he broke his DSL).
DSL or DSi fits in any pocket. The XL needs a larger pocket, usually jacket/coat pocket.
I usually play on the bus/train and the XL did give me a slight dizzy on the first 2 times or so before getting used to the larger screen. I think it has to do with the larger field of focus that threw me off after getting used to the DSL size. The XL also feels a lot heavier due to the way it's held.

3D is useless to me, and it's £100 more expensive than a DS lite, even if I wanted a 3DS I still wouldn't spend over £150 for a portable ever, whatever it was. So DS lite it is for me! I don't plan on taking it out with me, but doesn't a DSXL pixelate and make the game look worse?

Can't really tell for me.
I think the screen is still small enough not see the pixelation easily.

I don't like getting used if I can help it, don't like thought of someone else having had their paws on it |
That's understandable. However, surely it'd be worth saving around #60 (supposed to be a pound sign
), which could be used to buy the above games?
Also, if you like Super Scribblenauts, which IS better, how about the Layton series?
You must get Mario Kart DS. Not only is it the best game on the system but also the best Mario Kart ever (IMO). It's surprising just how perfect this game came out on DS.
Another game I really love is Picross. I'm not even into puzzle games at all but this game is a whole new level of portable addictiveness.

I second this. NSMB is fun, if easy. So that's another one
Oh, Bowser's Inside Story as well is a must-buy
