Personally, one of the reasons I really want a NGP is because of the backwards compatibility with the PSP, that not only plays them but gives them a few visual upgrades as well. The PSP isn't something I'm all that interested in getting, but I really like what we've seen for the NGP so far, and the fact that I can catch up on a bunch of PSP titles is awesome! I just hope more of the old PSP games get put on PSN, so I can actually buy them.

How do you like it?

Well actually, I kinda played all the psp games that I wanted to play, but I think for the new users this is pretty cool.

But for me, im kinda inbetween, but I would really like to play a Monster Hunter title, I just played for like 5minutes so far, and with the second analog and everything I would like to play some.

If PSP and PS2 games were downloadable that would be great.

Yeah, it is.  I'm definitely getting an NGP at some point, and without BC, I probably wouldn't bother.

But what's best about the feature is what it implies for the future.  I've long viewed the PSN as a hardware agnostic platform, and thus assumed that any game you buy via PSN would work on future iterations of that hardware (IE, PS3 > PS4 > PS5 and PSP > NGP > NGP2).  This tells me that Sony is actually going down that route, which is good.

I voted "No"only because it itsn't a big feature, it's just a positive feature. Having BC is always something good but I will never consider ir being one of my most important feature. I want new games taylored for the system, specially because of all the control inputs the device have.

yeah, kinda.  i don't have a psp so what i like about it is that if i buy a npg early on i'll still have a big library of games to play even if they are old.  there aren't enough psp games i want to get me to buy a psp but enough to make the NGP very attractive.

Not really because I still have a new PSP. I take very good care of my things and if it tanked I would just pick up another. I don't think that the NGP is going to get BC because honestly it's a waste of Sony's time. All these piraters can be to blame for that yet again.

Not a big deal if you already have PSP but still nice thing to have.

If only Sony were a bit more agresive in putting more titles for PSP essentials.

No since it doesn't do UMD's.

I'm getting a new PSP this year for the JRPG's and Sony's games... and Peace Walker, naturally.

Not including the Xperia Play though as they're forcing you to re-buy all of your PSN content (e.g.PS1 games) if you want to use it on the Play...
