Forums - General - Cricket World Cup 2011: Any followers here?

Let's add kiwis to the list of cluch teams. At times they beat the biggest of teams and while at other times lose 5 matches in a row to a lower ranked team. I am eager to watch the highlights. I am not sure what can South Africa do to make sense of this. They were pretty much perfect this time but when haven't they really.

Now if England pulls another one of those amazing tight games. The semi finals will be hot hot hot. Talk to you later guys :)

I'm mainly a rugby union girl but being Australian, I can't help but be saturated by cricket related media so I have to follow it a little. Not too sad to see australia out to be honest, would have loved to see NZ go further just because they are hilariously inconsistent. would have been great to see them win the world cup only to lose terribly to 3rd rate teams for the next year (a not impossible outcome where they are involved). Hoping that India wins, for some reason I have always felt they are the best team in the world even though the aussie media preaches our dominance in the sport. It could be just a railing against over saturation of the sport at home or it could be that every match I have ever seen Tendulkar gets a century or close to it. He is an amazing sportsman.

NZ are still in the tounry :P tonight will decide their fate

Sorry didnt realise the kiwis were still in, Knew they lost to sri lanka and just assumed they were out

Beating south africa is awesome though, would love to see them win the comp, an NZ V India final would be great, then its good whoever wins. Its unlikely they will but anything is possible with that team (NZ), of course its eqaully possible they will make the final and lose by 10 wickets or something. However if they do make the final I will be getting spectacularly drunk (being that I am in NZ at the moment) so even a 10 wicket loss may be entertaining.

well being Sri lankan, all our matches have been a big party for us. Tonight won't be much different UNLESS they mess up in a HUGE way. No much sleep tonight for me

NZ are looking good and confident as a team. hoping for a rematch with the kiwis in the semis :D

Oh the kiwis were just teasing Plessis about how he got his senior batsman (Devilliers) runout. I guess form of sledging.

Man i just saw the post match interview of Gram Smith and he looks pretty broken. I mean anyone would be but yea kind of bit more.

Good luck to both teams. England And Srilanka would make a cracking contest. One of my favorite player from Srilanka is gone though. Jayasuriya. Oh boy when he got going it was show for the eyes of the viewers.

1 out of 3 in tipping. My bad!

Tipped Sri Lanka to beat England. it would not surprise me at all if England come up to beat the Sri Lankans. England, New Zealand and Pakistan are unpredictable Dr Jeckyll and Mr Hyde cricket teams. Good one day and really bad the next day.

Will the real English cricket team please stand up?
