Everyone knows that Microsoft's beloved Halo celebrates it's 10th Happy Birthday this november. An uncountable amount of rumors have been floating around the web about a possible remake of Halo: Combat Evolved to coincide with it's anniversary.

New information comes straight from HBO forums that David Ellies, a 343 Industries member, has been sent to San Francisco to the Microsoft press event. This is what Ellies responded when asked if 343 had any special "plans" for the event.

Me: So, do you have some special "plans" you may or may not be talking down in San Fran? :P

David Ellis: You'll find out soon enough. :)

We don't know what this "special plans" might be, but something  Halo related will be knocking at your door in just a couple of hours.

I would take a shot at Halo 4 by 343 and CE remake by another studio. So a shitload of Halo this event.

fingers crossed. 343 have to show why there is soo much money going into that studio.

I hope we do get some Halo news as I'm sure we will, but I don't want all of this "big news" hype to be just about Halo. It'd be nice if we got something that we've never had before, like a Sony game or something completely new, something that no one knows about already. Lately these rumors about things have been right and when I hear the official announcements I'm kinda like MEH at that point cause it's already old news. 

Well today is the day either way. I've seen other people ask in other threads about what time today's event is happening but don't recall seeing an answer. So anyone know what time?

Halo CE remake would be cool and Halo 4 announcement for 2012 or 20013 would be cool. But there would need to be a few more things than that to have me really excited.

Wonder what will it be. Probably the rumored Halo:CE Remake.

I'd take a Halo: Reach 2. Just keep the composer and try and make a more coherent plot and I'm all for a new Halo.

I don't know about Halo 4 tbh. I'd think that it's the next gen launch title if anything, similar to the case of Halo 3, but maybe MS will be nice and launch it for us in the final years of Xbox, as I don't think it has more than 1-2 years left in it unfortunately after 2011!
