Sony isn't doing well unless of course you're using the word "well" very loosely, they're doing better than they were, that's about all that can be said, but they're not doing well, its already lost its holiday momentum and after the holidays are over, we'll see just how well it fairs against the 360.
People are responding to the over-eager sounders of victory who seem blind to all that is around them. You seem to think the PS3 was been a wet match that has sat around for a year drying off and now someone has finally struck it starting the fire. It's not so simple I'm afraid. When the holidays end, hopefully you will understand the wisdom we're trying to convey.
People are not waiting for the PS3 to make a comeback, people have already moved on to the 360 and others to the Wii. The consumer majority that favored the PS2 has already found substitutes, there isn't this massive populous waiting for the PS3 to give them the chance to support it.
