Forums - Gaming - Do you keep games in a collection ie. A LOT OF THEM, or trade/aquire/trade

a little bit of  both for me, some games i know im not going to play again i get rid of. but my fighting games i keep unless they really suck (looking at you King of Fighters 12) and if a game has a really good online component it stays with me (Uncharted 2,Black Ops, Goldeneye, Modnation Racers)

I currently have 206 games, but I usually only keep RPGs (with the exception of Oblivion IV and Shadow Hearts) and a few other games that I could see myself playing over and over again like Shadow of the Colossus.

I am the Playstation Avenger.

I want to make the most of the physical media era as I fear the digital future. I keep everything.

i have a whole bookshelf of games i love collecting them and having them all sit together on the self.. so this one time..

i once traded my freind red dead redemption and GTA IV storys 10k world of warcraft gold (that is a alot of money, more money then hes ever had, he was able to buy machaeno hog, only wow ppl will know what that is) for his DS lite (black), pokemon pearl and a sonic game ... but since i love collecting games so much i convinced him to let me keep the red dead and GTA ps3 game case LOLOLOL thats how nerd i am he was literaly laughing at me like wtf why??

P.S do you think my freind got ripped off? or do you think it was fair trade (i think he got ripped of lol oh well but he said himself that he hasnt used it in over like 1-2 years and since hes got it hes only had 2 games for it)

also P.S i already had a ds(first gen)(top screen almost broken off but still works) but i wanted another one so i could trade pokemons with myself i have pokemon SS HG pearl and diamond and platnium and i allways wanted another ds so i didnt have to borro his all the time to trade with myself(im hardcore pokemon nerd) also note: your probly thinking why didnt u just conect to internet and trade pokemon over internet??? well thats because i cant connect my ds'es to the internet for some strange reason (i think it has somthing to do with ds not being able to use WEP keys or somthing idk)

P.S sorry for misspelled words unpuncuated sentances ect ect

I too rid myself of that abomination. I still have 11 though.

I have kept all of my games since last generation. I often buy games that I don't even play that much once I get. Though I try to go back and beat the games every once in a while.

i have a custom built twenty foot long floor to ceiling bookcase in my garage/ bedroom that houses all my games 2,500 plus as well as 600 odd anime and movie dvds and 800 odd music cd's plus 500 odd books mostly Fantasy and Scifi , i now only sell my games when a new console comes out as they seem to have less exclusions on what games they will take , and i got my 360 and PS3 that way along with 2 new games each and no cash outlay.

Research shows Video games  help make you smarter, so why am I an idiot

@adrianne  funny enough i still have 11 also, matter of fact i have them all in some capacity 94-98 collection for Wii, 99 from PSN and the rest from those PS2 collections

I keep roughly 95% of them, the other 5% I trade/sell at places like Ebay, CEX, GAME and Amazon

I buy a lot of games. With intent to collect, however I often spend several hundred on games at once, then find something later down the road that I can't afford. So I'm forced to trade in, in order to buy Killzone 3 and MVC3 for example. I traded in Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit, and Call of Duty BlackOps to get both of those games.

I collect games I like. Sell games I do not. If I like a game but have no intent to replay it, or it has no replayability, really. I'll usually collect it regardless, so where I can be I'm a collector. I have 90 games on PSN, and about 50 bluerays.
