Forums - Nintendo - Wii is not entirely dead just yet thread ::: Will exclusives for 2011

Can you make it more list-like? It's hard to read it all

It is a good lineup (don't forget multiplats!) but I expect AT LEAST another 5-10 must-haves from E3, or throughout the year, for this year.

For example, last year we had;

  • Goldeneye
  • Kirby's Epic Yarn
  • Donkey Kong Country Returns
  • Sonic Colours
  • Wii Party
To name just a few, and they'll no doubt be more this year!

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Perhaps these are the most important Wii games of 2011 for US and Europe we know about:

  • Kirbys Epic Yarn (in europe in two days)
  • Enclave - Shadows of Twilight
  • de Blob 2
  • uDraw (in europe in march)
  • Lego Star Wars Clone Wars
  • Conduit 2
  • Earth Seeker
  • Xenoblade
  • The Last Story
  • Pandoras Tower
  • New Kirby
  • New Fatal Frame
  • Dragon Quest X
  • Night of the Sacrifice
  • The Grinder
  • Pikmin 3
  • Vitality Sensor Game(s)
  • Rhytm Heaven
  • Rodea The Sky Soldier
  • Tales of Graces (?!)
  • Zelda

I know that perhaps not all of these games will be released in US and europe for sure. And we know that  Nintendo has some unannounced games in the sleeve.

I'm pretty sure the 'F' version means that it wouldn't be counted as exclusive anymore.

Not really a mighty fine for list American Wii owners when most of the games are pure speculation on the list creator.

skyward sword and pikmin 3 are on my radar.  Would like to be excited about the new kirby trailer, but it seemed very average.

Also looking forward to Wii Music 2 as the original blew and they said they were planning on fixing it.  Plus, with the music genre dead on the HD twins then perhaps Nintendo has breathing room to do something a bit more similar to those games.  A good mix between Wii Music and Rock Band/Guitar Hero.

They didn't official announce Wii Music 2, but they said a new versionw as definitely intended, and it's been a while so far.

Conduit 2, The Grinder, and Skyward Sword I will definitely buy. Everything else I need more info/trailers to see if I want it.

Yeah, ruin everyone's fun why not

But no doubt at least half of those will be released this year in te west, and of course, E3 will be interesting

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Zelda is the only game I'm in any rush to get for Wii this year. That kirby game looks fun. I was going to eventually pick up Epic Yarn, but this new one seems more my type of game, so I'm glad I held off.

Pikmin should be awesome, I can't believe it took them this long to make it. The game is simply tailor made for Wii controls. Little King's Story was a great game but I felt it could have been much improve if it had the pointer controls.

I might pick up Conduit 2, under the condition that the online is solid, hacker free, and the single player experience sees some major improvements. The controls were already solid, so not much change is needed there. I loved the customization from the first game, was really one of its saving graces.

Beyond that, I'm just going to wait it out until E3. I have a hunch that we are going to see an explosion of motion plus games at E3 as sort of a last hurrah for the Wii. I think Nintendo should really localize Zangeki. Looking at the Japanese footage, it seems like a really fun game and uses motion plus well. Maybe we'll see a ToG localization also.

Wii is far from done in terms of key games, it's just that we probably don't know most of them right now.
