I'm not sure I follow you.
A few people are rich. Rich people have a lot of money.
EVIL! KILL IT AND REPLACE IT WITH SOCIALISM!
Seriously, why does the fact that a few people have worked hard and got lucky, and thus have become incredibly rich, reflect badly on America or the American way of doing things? Do you propose stealing their money and giving it to poor people? That would make you either Robin Hood or Vladimir Lenin. Except that those two actually got out and did something about it, rather than constantly whining about how everyone else is doing everything wrong without ever suggesting a new system.

Jesus Christ, would it kill you to read the article before commenting?
No one is complaining that people are rich. The problem is that they KEEP GETTING RICHER while the middle class is sliding backwards.

I've read the article. The whole thing is complaining about how rich people are rich, which is something of a tautology.
1) Of course they keep getting richer. They have more money to invest. That's how capitalism works. And have you seen the alternative?
2) A richer person is more likely to be well-educated and politically involved, so the fact that congress members are statistically richer than the population as a whole is not surprising in the slightest, and happens in every country that has ever existed, including the Soviet Union.
3) The rich pay considerably more tax than the poor, and to increase the amount of tax they pay further begins to negate the advantages of hard work to attain the success that those people attained.
So, again, what do you think should be done to resolve this "problem"?
