well the gap will close until nintendi does a price cut. i dont see them cathing up in a huge way at all.

When all is said and done PS3 will be within a million or 2 of Wii in EMEAA. 360 is too hard to call, it's closing in on saturation in America and I don't think there's much MS can do to make major inroads in South America like Sony did with the PS2 (over 5 million in Brazil alone). I'd say It could get within 4-5 million of Wii in Americas depending on how long MS keep it around.

He never said predict when the 360 or ps3 will pass the wii in those territories, so stop freaking out. He simple asked how small will the gap get. I think the gap will shrink to about 8-5m in each region. |
So what?
I was not freaking out, i just said they will never pass the Wii lts in the mentioned regions.
That's my opinion and that's it.
And your prediction is badly done without giving any time window or any arguments.
So stop freaking out by yourself, know-it-all!

Horsepower NEVER equates to console sales, people here should know that by now..

That is under the assumption that Wii won't gain back most of the deficit during the holidays. Unless you mean 2 million COMBINED for Xbox 360/PS3.

Thats not what I was saying, all you have to do is look at weekly sales to realize the popularity of the HD consoles is quickly surpassing the wii.
Time for hype
there will be no gap there going to sell in both regions 10.5 million next week.
I think it will Close no further then 5 million and thats if nintendo just sits on there arse.
I hope the gap keeps shrinking alot. I am so happy that things have changed as when I first started watching this site in early 2009 the Wii was destroying both consoles. But now, It is nice to see the numbers every week now through most of 2010 and 2011 reflect the sales I like for the two systems that make the kind of games I enjoy.
I think that the Wiis percentage will drop to 42 % worldwide by the end of 2012.

Depends on long it is until ps4 is launches I think, ps3 has the most staying power so if it is several years before the next ps4 I can see ps3 outselling wii completely, course thats after wii stops selling almost completely
I think it's going to be hard for either the X360 and PS3 to close the gap between themselves and the Wii by at least 3 Mil.
It's because I reckon that even when the successor to the Wii is released, the Wii will still be in production and will continue to see ( though obviously not in large proportions) just like how the PS2 is still selling when the PS3 has been on the market for 4 full years now.
