And since this is a democracy, the majority chose Nintendo this generation (since developers often refuse to support the DS), so the developers are going against the majority decision.

Hence, they have no one to blame but themselves when they had to close down their companies.

1st point, show me where they used weasal words, please, because alot of people say this and no one has yet to prove that they have, IMHO its just a bunch of fans who got overzealous and got let down majorly, thats for them to deal with. 

2nd point, your right gaming is not essential so why so serious??? Play what you like, complaining about why that system gets a game and not this one, is not helping anyone( at least send letters to EA or what have you if its that real)

3rd man you need some Jack like ASAP, this is buisness, your acting like you went down to the race track and bet on the winning horse but all the other horses got the prize instead. In a buisness devs and publishers are going to support who they feel is more viable. Fact is, you supported a console that you thought was going to get a certain kind of support, you were wrong, it didnt. Screaming on a forum is not going to change that. And who are we to act like we know what were talking about??? We have no idea about the mechanations of these buisness' if we did we wouldnt be here.

1. Well I'd have to trawl the Capcom boards, as that's where Svenson writes most of this stuff, but I don't even know if they keep threads that old. Besides, I wonder if they have shown them, and you ignored it. I mean, if you're going to just throw accusations, so can I.

2. You shouldn't have posted these kinds of threads then, unless you think it's only worth whining about consumers, not the developers.

3. You're complaining about consumers this very forum thread, so you really can't call that one. And if you think a letter matters more than a post here, you're fooling yourself, unless you want me to shut up, which I'm not going to do.

Not to mention you are putting the desires of the devlopers over the desires of the cosumers. You think this is a utility, where we have no choice but to take the scraps they give us? Developers bet on the wrong horses, not us. THEY are the ones that should admit that. And we chose the PS1 and PS2 last two gens, not them. We chose the Wii this time, so developers should come to us. They do not get a pass for refusing to support the winning system.

^^^ you seem to have a mad on for Capcom and honestly if you didnt learn anything from the RE4 PS2 thing then I dont know what to tell you, The only thing ive seen is from Dead Space for months Wii owners were crying about broken promises, when i finally seen the comment that  was supposedly a "promise" all it said is it would have the atmosphere of the regular Dead Space. It didnt mention anything about gameplay at all.

Buy what you want, you have alot choices, you can keep complaining, play whatever you want on WIi, buy a console with these games you so despartly want, you can quit gaming, do whatever you like.  Desires of consumer??? YOu speak for all Wii owners?? im one, and except for the lack of motion support and weak online my desires have been met. If your complaining that the lack of content on WIi is so bad then maybe you did bet on the wrong horse, the Wii has not obviously met your gaming needs. Hell, from my perspective they have come to me.

RE4 on the PS2 was said by Capcom to be because Outbreak sold a million copies. Plus the PS2 was in the lead already, so that's not a reason to not support Nintendo, but a reason to support the winning system.

The head of EA said outright that if we wanted more "core" games from them, then we should buy that game. That looks more nowadays as an excuse if it failed though.

Ignoring customers for stupid reasons is wrong, and typing "IMHO" doesn't change that. But even if it does, you therefore cannot then call me on my opinion that they are.

As for the bolded part, the desires of the consumers are what pays the bills of developers. You are trying to spin Wii owners as betting on the wrong horse. Bullshit. Wii owners CHOSE the winning horse, just as they CHOSE the PS1 and PS2 as the winning horses before. Developers "bet" on the wrong horse, and you are trying to excuse their fuckups and refusal to correct them.

EA, ok ill give you that, but they have been doing screwed up stuff all gen long on all systems so its not just isolated on WII.

All you did was pick two devs out of dozens, yeah some messed up, you can say the same for any console this gen or even maybe prior gens. and im not spinning anything, there are many Wii owners who are quite happy with their purchase and for them they did bet on the winning horse. For everyone else who is not satisfied with their purchase, they bet on the wrong console.
