Forums - Sony - DualShock 4

They should make one controller that's the way it is now andd have a totally different one that they play around with like you have said.

That way I can buy the normal one and not buy the strange different one.

What is the point of discussing a controller that is 2 to 3 years away.

and SONY looked to make a new Controller for PS3 but it was rejected by Fans so there used the same one as the last 2 Gens.

track pad is possible to be added to an controller.

But adding an microphone to every new controller at no extra cost would be vital in connecting the community easier

That would be really sweet. I hate headsets, but like to chat with people online. That would defintaly solve that problem. And what about a speaker on the ds4? I like the wii one.

slightly twistable handles? Do you mean something like the neGcon during the PS1 days (from Namco)?

What they need to do is fix the screwed up L2/R2 buttons on the DS3. It sucks when my movie starts fast forwarding/rewinding just because I put the damn controller down... The DS1/DS2 worked perfectly fine, why did they screw up those buttons on the DS3?

What do you all think?

Adding a track pad and a micrphone will increase the cost a lot. I don't think most people wil pay nearly 100 bucks for a controller.

Are you trolling ?

Cost of making gamepad is in few bucks range.

I usually have the same issue with those buttons, but I love the fact that they are not digital. I was expectin Gran Turismo to make a good use of that.

Bring on the break-apart controller! Add Move functionality, including the glowing ball on both sides. BAM! Perfect.

WAI NO BANANA SHAPPED CAWNTROLLER!!!!!?!!!!!!!

OT:

I want it to stay as it is

Yep but the production cost not  the final price. Dualshocks are in the 50-60 range probably they could keep the price with the extra features but the profit won't be the same (honestly I don't know how much Sony made with every Dualshock) the same goes for Microsoft and Nintendo controllers are quite cheap to make but they're a good source of money at the actual price.

Switch the D-Pad with the left Analog Stick and we're fine, Sony.
