this is your prediction right? you posted it like you've just seen into the future lol. and you've basically posted that everything about the ps3 will fail and everything about the 360 will prosper.

 how do you know 360 will take of in eu with gtaiv? so far all the latest multiplatform games have done better on ps3, bar cod 4 in the pal region. fifa, pro evo, assasins creed, need for speed....you catch my drift? somehow, i dont think gtaiv is going to be any different.

The PS3 hasn't made up ANY of the lead that the 360 has - so its a little early to be talking about the PS3 overtaking the 360 in '08.

The chance of the 360 extending its lead next year is about the same as the PS3 shrinking this lead. It could go either way - but their won't be any overtaking next year, the lineup just isn't there.

How could it ever outsell the Xbox 360? Its video game library is nothing compared to the Xbox 360's. Yeah, it has Resistance, Ratchet, Uncharted, and many other, fine games, but almost nothing like the Xbox 360's, mainly because the Xbox 360 was released one year before the Playstation 3.

That may happen, but don't take Christmas 360/PS3 ratios for granted, they'll probably change a lot in January.

It's PS3's first Christmas in Europe, which will obviously lead to lots of kids getting it as a present. In January, people buy consoles mainly for themselves, which leads to quite different target demographics to sell consoles to.

Another important factor are the surely upcoming price cuts for the Xbox 360, look at the impact that Sony's 200 € price cut has had! Microsoft has only cut 50 € off their price so far, and they launched their console much earlier than Sony did.

yes i know nj5, ps3 won't keep outselling the 360 with 100.000 units the coming weeks in europe anymore
but even if they keep outselling the 360 with 50k's every week than they'll still overtake the 360 in august

and it's the ps3 that's getting the bigger release coming half year
