Ofcourse u take top spot on the PS3 charts if ur Uncharted. There's was no other big game coming out for the sytem that week. ... Good to see it do well though! Well deserved!

It was it's second week on the Charts. It's opening week it got blown up by COD4's legs. It ain't doing horrible, but it's not really living up to it's "big name" status that people here were hyping it up to be. Of course that seems to be the case with every game here. Every exclusive is suddenly a system seller/multi-million seller and every game that is a system seller is supposed to do two/three times what it really is going to do opening week.

Is UT3 out already on PS3?


Yes in limited quantity for the US. Good reviews so far, some reviews seem to prefer the PS3 version.

Lowest score so far was from 1up with 80%, but that's still much better than the 60% they gave the PC version. This game is important because it shows a more complex and graphical superior multiplatform game compared to the best 360 has to offer can perform at a solid framerate on the PS3. This bodes well for future PS3 Unreal Engine 3 based multiplatform games for the PS3!

The Unreal engine is still going to make good advancements though, Epic: "Now the engine does get better and better, as we move forward; so is it possible we one day do a UT style game on PS3 at 1080p? I guess so."



Naughty Dog: "At Naughty Dog, we're pretty sure we should be able to see leaps between games on the PS3 that are even bigger than they were on the PS2."

No you can play with the Sixaxis just fine, using a keyboard and mouse is optional on the PS3, but according to reviews works very well. For fair online matches the host can detirmine if mouse and keyboard usage is allowed or not.

If i had a PS3 (IF) i'd buy UT3... My comp isn' quite high end (A)!!!

I believe UT3 has 'Killer-App' written all over it, but i guess not a lot of people are into it, or prefer mouse and keyboard, looking at how it sold this week in the US... (Maybe the should've marketed it more?)

Actually, i'd say it shows the difference between the PC and Console reviewers and that your average PC reviewer has a higher standard for an unreal shooter. Not that some reviwers perfer the PS3 version to the PC version. Don't be silly now... PC has it all over PS3. Truth is, UT3 is really awesome... if your native sytem hasn't had an UT game recently. However UT3 is by all accounts just a minor upgrade from other UT games. As the 1up reviewer put it... "It's still a good game -- lovely, and a little tired. But these days, even a favorite old dog like UT needs to learn more than a few new tricks." Vs "One of the highlights of the year for Net-connected PS3 owners. For many, this will be a fresh experience, lessening the impact of the modest mode options and lack of some fan favorites from prior versions. "

One guy at 1up stated in a video he preferred the PS3 gameplay. On the PC people are hopping, side-strafing like drunks all the time at an insane velocity. That's something I disliked about Unreal Tournament and other such games on the PC as well, having several people hopping like lunatics all the time trying to prevent to get hit, IMO somewhat degrades from the experience. I still loved Unreal Tournament in the good old days though, I created many UT player skins and even co-developed a great map.

So, he perfers the PS3 version because the PS3 players online don't use the same strategy beceause they haven't played UT3 as long. It's the same difference. The only real difference is less accurate controls, less customizability and less expierence by the users. It's like "Age of Empire" players who would post "No Tower Matches" or "No Early Rush" in their games. Someone who really just can't handle a style of play.
