Simply because the Wii has no 3rd party support.

Check the list of games coming out for all systems and you'll see.

Well it has plenty of 3rd party support. Plenty of mediocre games coming down the pipeline.

Never hurt the Wii before.

Well, you can only do it for so long before the consumers wise up.

Kinect is doing great for 360. About eating into Wii sales, IMVHO it's doing it relatively to a part of those tied to WiiFit Plus and Balance Board. Balance Board has very little 1st and 3rd party SW, besides the game bundled, it's easier for Kinect, thanks also to its unique features, to attack it than to attack the whole Wii. But attacking Balance Board and eating into some of its sales means also eating into the part of Wii sales that are mainly tied to them. Where bundles kept BB stronger, it wasn't overkilled by Kinect and as a whole 360 didn't beat Wii there.

There are two things I think that cut into Nintendo's sales.  That's third party shovelware and Kinect.  I worked at Gamestop for a short while I can definitely tell you that when it comes to the "party" games, a quality title like Wii Party will get shafted so often by parents and kids for the next and numerous variations of "Family Game Night 2!"  The parents love the cheap prices of these numerous Nintendo rip offs and the young kids seem to not know the difference unless they are die hard Nintendo fans.

And my feeling with Kinect is that it only stole a small portion of the wii pie, but it got more in image than it did sales.  Everything from the new purple and green color scheme to the commercials with kids with their mother and father playing with the Kinect.  The  emerging "Kinect Series" games are very similar, and intentionally, to the "Wii Series" games, in their simple and clean appearance.

From what I saw, people were receptive to this overhaul of the xbox image.  They just don't have any killer apps yet for the "New" xbox image.  So until that happens (Sports Resort, Mario kart, etc...), I think it will stay a small piece of the pie gone, but with potential for a bigger slice to take away.

Well, I used to want an xbox360 and was about to get one (saved up my pocket money for a year and even *milked cows for granpa after school each day for extra pennies) but now it looks too darn casual for me, so no thanks, Mr Gates. I only like hardcore games and hardcore consoles!!!!

Kinect has eaten into its sales but in all honesty HD consoles have probably to a greater extent. This year is going to be a price cut year so it may be the Wii is in a little trouble. Kinect though is likely to become more important as future titles are announced and if they manage to reduce the price of entry for the 250gb Kinect bundle it will probably pile the pressure on. Certainly a less than stellar Xmas in Wii terms and a sharp decline in the post Xmas period does not fill me with confidence.

PS3 waves hands in air while nodding head in the direction of uncharted, killzone, resistence and infamous all standing alone and waiting

Of Course That's Just My Opinion, I Could Be Wrong

Not enough flux of games definitely. It's still selling good but needs the big games it was getting in the beginning of its release

Even if it is, who cares since Wii has pretty much saturated the market already.  Most people who want a Wii already have one.

Kinect is mostly selling to current 360 owners. If its eating into the Wii's sales, it's a small portion.
