And Avinash, since you're complaining about BioShock's story, would you say Mario Galaxy has a better or more original story than BioShock?

 

Regarding BioShock, personally I'm sick of all these games with Art Deco styles, underwater cities, and Ayn Rand influenced stories. Boring!

Mario barely pretends to have a story, its about the gameplay, Bioshock really felt too much like a watered down system shock to me

Haven't played Bioshock. I'm sure it's a great game but any magazine that now lists the best selling system in the world as a next generation system is not taken seriously by me. Just venting my frustrations on Game Informer. Nothing personal to Bioshock, I have heard that its a fantastic game and I'm not renewing my Game Informer subscription.

Game trailers-Halo 3 only dissapointed the people who wanted to be dissapointed.

Bioshock is the game of the year, i really feel bad when people say than mario galaxy is better. Come on, History, Grafics, the atmosphere of the game, enemys, Controls, the way of use the plasmids, how the history progresses and is told, its amazing, i really think that just because is not a wii game you are saying all that garbage. For you is mario, mario and mario, halo 3 no because its halo, bioshock no because is a shooter, so what do you like? I havent knew ONE person than didnt like Bioshock, every friend and person than i know is amazed by that game. Why mario galaxy is better???

Comparing two games from such different genres in such a direct way is never a good idea.  The reason I like Galaxy better can be summed up in one word: fun.  Anyone who's played the game knows what I'm talking about.  I could spend hours just messing with the gravity on the planets.  Then there's that whole game thing to play as well!

Bioshock is a great game, but, for me, it's nothing more than that.  Galaxy rises above the title of great game because you're having fun all the way through.  That's what gaming's all about.

I can't wait till I start playing Mario Galaxy. by the sound of people that played it and are upset that the game wasn't chosen as the GOTY, the game must be awesome. I loved Bioshock - so hoping Galaxy will be just as good.

Only one problem, I have to wait till Christmas.
