Well thats not exactly true. French People live in Quebec, the bulk of Japanese people live in Vancouver, and Chinese live in Toronto. Anything east of Quebec is white people, either French or English. Between Ontario and BC it's also white people, moreso Eastern Europeaners, and some Native Indians. Up North you have Inuite people along with more white people. Also in every major city you get a mixed bag of Indian, European, and Asian people, but very few black people all together.

So none of us really live together, we live under the same government.

Yeah that accounts for all the countries with an multicultural population though.. That was not what I expected when I made the first step into an multicultural country..

Well, when I think of Canada, I think of weird English-speaking French people overusing the word "eh".

...not my fault I'm surrounded by American forums and TV shows, :P.

Yeah but we also gave you Rush, Tragically Hip, Neil Young and Bachman Turner-Overdrive! Canada has pretty good bands for our small population!

 

On topic I really like living in Canada. Tons of freedom and opportunity. Rather high taxes though.

 

Also we rock at hockey so we can't be all bad! No other country can take that away!

Free Health Care

Hockey

Huge country (granted half of it is a desolate arctic wasteland...)

Nicer people than the US!

Multiculturalism (can be a positive or negative thing depending on your view)

Yeah that was bad. I'm still smarting from that loss. We had that game and threw it away!

Higher HDI

A current accound defecit that isn't massive (unlike that of the U.K and US)

far far better foreign policy (I dislike US actions towards Chile, Iraq, Vietnam, Cuba etc)

Greater state ownership (Canadian National Railways)

Member of the commonwealth

Lower crime rate

Health Care free at point of delivery

Uses metric system

Go to a big city, although different ethnic groups segragate themselves into different area's, you still see some mixing of cultures. Generally it's with a younger generation.
