I love this guy and I have a feeling he's gonna be extremely wealthy one day.

they day this guy actually earns a dollar doing something legit is the day he owes $0.95 to sony to payback the lawsuit he's going to loose.
|
Ever actually looked at anything he's done outside of jailbreaking? Kids pretty smart and has people's attention. He'll land a really good job one.
I doubt Sony will win this case, these cases have been brought up before and the manufacturere looses.
|
sony already won the court case to impound his hard drive filled with information on all the clients who ave ever asked him to hack anything.
|
But that doesn't mean he lost the court case. All that happened is Sony is allowed to look to see if anything illegal has actually happened. He hasn't been convicted of anything as far I as know. Just because police get a warrant to search your house doesn't mean you've been convicted, they are just allowed to look.
Also, if Sony finds anything that pertains to other hacks on other devices they can't do jack with it. They can only search for stuff pertaining to them, no matter what other posters have said. Plain-view law does not apply to hard drives.
Edit: I could be wrong about whether he will be convicted of anything eventually but I just don't want it to happen because it will set a crappy precedent for the future.
