ioi made a note months ago saying that PS3 was undertracked and like it is a old console he didn't know where these sales came... so he was not making the necessary adjustments until you can properly map the sales.

Wii will top the PS2 in America's first, it will top PS1 in America's in about 3 weeks though.

No, Aus, UK and France. It's not going to stop selling even if we see a Wii 2 in 2012. It'll be closing in on each of those places.
We're actually undertracking PS2 pretty significantly in Australia/NZ. Our numbers don't seem to account for NZ at all. Although Wii will probably pass it there some time in 2012.

Australia, followed by France, then UK are certain. America will probably be after that.
Unless it has been declining heavily in Germany, it stands a chance there, as well.
Not gonna happen in any other region, though.

Some of these regions make me wonder (well, not MEAA, where it's even more lopsided, probably, since PS2's undertracked there) - why on earth does France prefer the Wii over the PS2 significantly more so than Italy? And the UK -- it's actually getting thrashed by both HD consoles there for the moment, but the market there has somehow grown so enormously that it can get beaten for extended periods and still beat the PS2.
