And I had an awesome photoshop idea for that Trashleg thing, I just think Trashleg left rather quickly and chatted with Heph  a lot.

I still don't even really understand what your basing your suspicions on. What do you mean by "root him out?"

Why do you think Trash and Heph are suspicious?

Well hemp was saying as soon as I came in I looked funny, I think he wanted to vote me at some point. He also went after you (hopefully jokingly) and seemed to be accusing everyone. And I had an awesome photoshop idea for that Trashleg thing, I just think Trashleg left rather quickly and chatted with Heph  a lot.

If Heph were to base a vote off your avatar(as noname actually did) then nobody would take it seriously. I also don't understand why you say "hopefully jokingly" about Heph going after noname.

I don't share your thoughts on trashleg leaving quickly, but she did converse with Heph quite a bit, and noname as well I'd say. Furthermore she hasn't really done anything but jokingly defend herself against the joke attacks. If I were keeping potals(Post totals, and I am) then I'd say 0 of her 12 posts have content, though a lot of them are in the gray. Nothing alarming yet, because this round has a lot more joking than I've seen in previous rounds. Howeve, now that quite a bit has been said, I'd be suspicious if the trend doesn't change.

i was pretty shattered last night, and not much except the joking was going on. i was planning on spending this evening when i get in from uni, organising my thoughts. i do have suspicions but i wanna build them up before i go running my mouth.

Oh forgot to say this...

FoS the clown.... for not even realizing that me saying he was funny looking... was a pun on his sceen name... that and taking my attack on Noname to the first degree when he did the exact same thing (I even commented on this game being ninja themes as I got ninjaed twice in my replies already).

That said, I'm entirely against first day lynches of new players, even if they do a massive slips, they deserve their chance to play here a bit and get the atmosphere.

I am however for not letting slip through first day lynch the other players that slip up, as otherwise, they just slip through the holes and continue slipping scrutiny as other people appear to slip up every day (like radish did 2 rounds ago sleeping though his townie duties after sliping on first day.... that was a usefull tool for the mafia). I'd sleep better with first day targets properly prosecuted. (that also means cops can investigates the slip, lynch is not an absolute).

I don't know how well we can find scum first day but I figure if nothing really stands out we could vote for radish.  I'm not pushing for his lynch since there is still more time to discuss things however he's twice been used by scum at the endgame and I would rather not see that happen again.

I knew there was another post I wanted to reply to before going to bed!

It seems like you're saying if there's nobody that seems scummy, then we should lynch a player that you think is townie. Regardless of how he has been used by scum this isn't one of the larger games and there likely are very few mislynches available before things get really serious. I don't think that no lynch is the best option given an odd number of players, but that's still far better than voting for someone that is likely a townie.

I'm with you on not lynching a new player first day.  We'll see what he does today with all the fos on him.

If I were to look through all the archives of mafia on here I wonder how many first day lynches are scum.  From what I've seen first days tend to be going for someoen for some small slip and people making it bigger any defence the person has can then be used as evidence the person is scum and thus a townie gets lynched but the town feels good because the person "seemed scummy"

Now I'm not saying that should be replayed by lynching someone we think is town. I'm saying we should still try and find scum but if no one really stands out instead of not lyniching because we think everyone is town we lynch the person who is most likely to hurt the town.

So you're saying you think radish is likely a townie based just on the fist day? Curently everyone is "likely to be a townie" that's the odds, but that doesn't mean it's far better to vote no lynch today.

No lynch is still better than lynching someone who you think will be town, surely?

Also, I have no reason to believe that I'm more likely to hurt the town than any other member here- if the Mafia decide to revolve their plan around a perticular player, then that makes sense, but they might choose someone else (since I'm likely to be alerted after last game).

If the chances are that everyone is likely to be a townie, I think that we should keep looking until that situation changes.

However, I agree with you that the situations where someone makes a small mistake and it's inflated greatly is bad for the town, because they always seem to end in a mislynch.

Actually I'm thinking linyches give you more information than a no lynch.  And there is thinking someone will be town by odds and there is thinking it by behavior.  On day one there isn't too much behavior to read but does that always mean a no lynch is best?

Obviously lynches give you more information, but a (mis)lynch on the first day isn't going to give you much information, is it? The only thing that it would do is reduce the numbers so that you have better odds next time - which isn't worth killing a townie just out of curiosity. You're right in that there isn't much behaviour to read on day 1, and clearly we disagree, but I reckon that 9 times out of 10 that a no-lynch is best if there isn't anything solid to go on. Especially in a game with such a low player count as this.

So you instead propose that we lynch someone based purely on his performance in the last two games?
